except they don't really celebrate it in catalunya.
today, i went to a bday party for a friend's parents. yes, both his parents have the same birthday... different years. to be quite honest, i don't know what town i was in but i know that there was a giant paella. we went to a campsite in the mountains and it was just grrrrrreat. enjoy some highlights from my day.
a picture version of my day in so many words...
6:30AM alarm clock.
walk to trainstation under moonlight.
fresh baked pan.
stub my toe.
James Morrison & Chris Tomlin.
Churrería y café con leche.
Drive to the mountains.
it's not a party in the montañas until there's:
fútbol
paella (no words do this justice. i'll post the process another night)
mountains (we yelled and heard our echoes. i had never done that before)
a bit of the guitar and singing.
jump rope. throw back.
good conversations.
meeting new people.
crema catalana... from a box...
and a beautiful sunset behind the mountains on the drive home to top it all off.
some things are just better left off camera. this proves my theory.
what a beautiful day!
tomorrow it's off to my hood bright and early.
good night.
awesome pics! monday was a holiday in kazakhstan too. odd.
