anyways, we ended class with this cliche that i took to heart:
a thousand mile journey begins with one step
Time and again, you hear life spoken about as a journey, one where you just gotta keep walking. Keep moving forward. One step at a time. Step by Step. You can read all about it in the Bible, too, in the Old Testament and the New Testament. The story of God's people is one of a journey. They are on the move. They are escaping. They are finding refuge. They are walking. They are following Jesus. And each step counts. Sometimes it seems like one step gets you nowhere. And sometimes it feels like you've been walking for a million and two miles. Right now, I feel like I'm taking baby steps in life. But I know that's ok. Paul, a guy who followed Jesus, says we "Walk by faith not by sight." And that's something I've got to live by. Not always knowing what it's going to look like but trusting that God knows. Because he is a God of love. After all, we read "And this is love: that we WALK in obedience to his commands. As you have heard from the beginning, his command is that you WALK in love." 2john6 Jesus commands us to take each step in love. He set the bar high.
Not to call you out... but I couldn't help but read and laugh ..."my gym partner and EYE got "the look" " ... I guess you were imagining her evil eyes at your guys when you wrote this :)
