A heart of thankfulness.

Tis the season, right?
It's time to reflect and be thankful.
We are all really really blessed to be given the things we have. I say things and know that I mean everything- the people, our environment, the love and patience that people give us...

It's really easy to not be content. I'm reading a book right now and one of the chapters addressed this issue. It's really easy to focus on what we don't have. Really. But we've got to train ourselves to think about the good and dwell on the good things. Not just ignore and pretend the other stuff isn't there. But when we focus on the good and on what we have, it really helps keep things in perspective.

Last year, I was in Spain for Thanksgiving. This year, I was home. Home. New Jersey. With my family. And it's the last year I celebrate Thanksgiving "as I know it." I mean waking up in the room that I've slept in for the past 24 years of life and watching the Macy's Day Parade with my parents. Not worrying about cooking anything. Really just helping clean and such.  Next year (Lord willing) Mike and I will be deciding how to celebrate. Crazy awesome!

So here are some highlights from the past year of what I'm thankful for.  Just cuz.
Carrying a giant turkey thru the streets of Barcelona with a dear friend.

Reunion with some women who I lived with in college. Roommates just share a special bond.

Snow! At the beach! With my sissy! I'm thankful for her!

A successful ski season! (He is patient with me... even when I fall over while just standing. :))

A trip to Monte Plata. Love these girls.

My birthday. Opening Ceremonies of Olympics. Great people. Life is good.

And that's only February. I realized it will take to long to go through everything. And that is a giant blessing in itself. Thank you, God.

Let's be thankful.
