summer is still here.

i'm not writing this because summer is almost over. it's not. so get that out of your head.

some of my favorite things about summer:
mornings. i love being awake on summer mornings. the cicadas are out now. the air is still.
running on the boardwalk. breezy or not.
the beach. though i have thoroughly disappointed myself with only being to the beach 1x. disgusting.
no joe's iced latte.
hot nights.
the sounds of crickets.
feeling the hot of the sun.
lighthouse italian ice. this summer was a throwback to the classic twist in a cone.
photo ops.
riverside park at dusk.
taking time to be thankful.
new pop music that makes me want to groove in the car with the windows down.
tank tops and hoodies.
time to grill.
smores.
fruit. fresh fruit.
did i mention this summer was a summer of weddings? so i should add that on here. SAJO.

i haven't been getting up everyday at 6am to be outside. but i'm ok with that. i haven't gone to the beach a lot. but i'm ok with that. a summer unlike any other. and i'm more than ok with that :)
