24 weeks!

24 weeks! Wowee! Past the half way point! Strange. Sometimes I just look at myself in the mirror. I can't believe it's me looking back at me. Seriously. When did this baby grow so much? Baby Mac is like a foot long... all scrunched up in there.  But we're doing well. Just had a doctor's appointment this week. I wished she would have used the ultrasound machine to give us a new updated pic, but instead she has this little thing that looks like an old school tape recorder with a mini microphone that's actually the little wand that she waves on my belly to hear the heartbeat. I should google that instrument. Anyways, a sigh of relief to hear the heartbeat. Thank God. Seriously. I'm so out of control. I mean, I'm in control of some things like not drinking a bottle of wine every day or running a marathon or eating candy all day long. But seriously, this is God's child. His gift to us. And you just don't know what will happen.  So what else what else?  I have these round ligament pains and other pains around the lower belly area. It's just basic muscle pain that's a result from my muscles growing and stretching around the baby. But let me tell you it's just annoying and uncomfortable. If I walk too fast for too long or wear flats all day or do a lot of activity one day, I feel sore and start to wobble around. It's crazy. I have to slow down.

Oh yeah, and I've started doing prenatal yoga. HAH. It's hysterical. I mean, it's awesome. I love it! Seriously. It gets me stretching and calms me down and gives me the satisfaction of a good work out. And the teacher is awesome! But, the thing is that I'm not really a yogi. I mean I've done yoga and all but primarily at WOW (which I feel is like "the man" to these smaller yoga studios). But this studio has been very welcoming to me and not too hokey or anything like that. And it incorporates moves and breathing to get you through a healthy labor.  Not to mention that one of my poses last week included me reclining on a series of pillows. #forthewin

Anyways, I hope you all had a good Thanksgiving! Now, time to enjoy this Christmas season!!

How far along?  24 weeks!
How do I feel? I feel good, overall. Getting tired at night a little bit more and sometimes the round ligaments kick up if I'm walking too fast for too long. Just feeling a bit bigger as my belly grows. It's very strange. You just keep growing this belly.
Total weight gain/loss: Officially a gain. LOL. This month's doctor's appointment was a change from last month's, when I had no weight gain... this month is a weight gain. My doctor assured me all is fine... and she was 220lbs at the end of 3 of her 4 pregnancies. LOL love her.  Also, it was Thanksgiving ;-)
Maternity clothes?
Even some of my maternity clothes are fitting weird now. I definitely prefer the full panal to the "demi-paneled" pants. Actually, I prefer stretch pants and dresses most of all :-)

Sleep: Waking up a couple times at night to get comfy.
Best moment this week: Hearing the heartbeat at our check up. Strong heartbeat in the 140's... boy or girl?! :-)
Miss Anything?  still that full night's sleep.
Movement: Yes! Baby is moving around a couple times a day... likes to remind me he/she is in there. We saw baby kick through my belly... Like saw a little flicker on my belly when baby kicked. Sooooo strange!
Food cravings:
None this week.
Anything making you queasy or sick:
Waves just come and go.
Labor Signs:
No
Belly Button in or out?
In.
Wedding rings on or off?
On
Happy or Moody most of the time:
Extra emotional... I started crying at the sound of the brass band playing Christmas tunes on the streets of RB... and then again when a DJ was playing a B. Spears Xmas tune. lol.

Looking forward to:Christmas tree shopping this weekend!
